[Financial News] Jeon Woo-won, the grandson of the late former President Chun Doo-hwan, who received a suspended prison sentence for habitual drug use, posted several updates—including a short video—to his SNS account throughout Christmas night.
The first video shows a young Jeon Woo-won in his mother's arms, happily calling out "Mom." In stark contrast to the joyful child in the video, the message he left reads, "I wish I had never been born."

He also shared more childhood photos. Without any particular message, he posted images of himself in traditional Korean attire with his grandfather, Chun Doo-hwan, in the yard, as well as photos of the former president holding him as a child.
Another post depicted the harrowing scenes in Gwangju during the Gwangju Uprising (May 18 Democratization Movement) in 1980.
In a subsequent post, Jeon shared photos of his meetings with the families of democratization movement victims, writing, "I am sincerely grateful to you for accepting someone like me with love."
He also posted photos with religious figures and broadcasting station officials. Jeon revealed his inner struggles, stating, "I felt like I didn't belong anywhere," and "I felt I didn't deserve to live."

The final post contained only a prayer, without any photos or additional messages.
Beginning with "Try praying like this," Jeon's prayer reads, "God, I am a sinner and I want to be forgiven. I believe that your Son, Jesus, died for my sins and is alive now."
It continues, "Now I turn away from sin and accept Jesus as my Savior and invite Him into my life. Lord Jesus, please guide my life. Thank you for granting me eternal life. I pray in Jesus' name. Amen."
Previously, in 2023, Jeon publicly admitted to drug use and criticized his family. That year, he visited Gwangju, apologized to the victims and families of the Gwangju Uprising, and paid his respects at the cemetery.
Recently, through his SNS, Jeon has been serializing a Webtoon, believed to be created with artificial intelligence (AI), in which he exposes his family's dark history.
