[Financial News] The Shin Ramyun commercial starring the girl group Aespa is attracting global attention. Within just one month of its release, the video has exceeded 130 million cumulative views on YouTube, marking the highest number ever for a Shin Ramyun advertisement.
On the 25th, Nongshim reported that the 30-second Shin Ramyun commercial, released on its global YouTube channel on the 19th of last month, had reached approximately 139 million cumulative views as of that day. The same video, released on the domestic channel on the 11th, also surpassed 13 million views in just two weeks.
The commercial features Aespa, who were chosen as the global ambassadors for Shin Ramyun. It breaks away from the traditional format of food advertisements by adopting a music video style.
Everything from the background music to the choreography is connected to ramyun. Aespa remade the 1997 hit song 'Spice Up Your Life' by the British pop group Spice Girls, which serves as the background music.
Aespa members perform everyday actions—opening the ramyun packet, pouring water, and splitting wooden chopsticks—as choreography. Scenes of fanning themselves after tasting the spicy ramyun and sampling various Shin Ramyun products are also included. Their performance, dubbed the 'Shin Ramyun Dance,' quickly went viral online after the video was released.
The commercial’s success is attributed to the synergy between Shin Ramyun’s brand power and Aespa’s global influence.

Since becoming the top-selling brand in the domestic ramyun market in 1991, Shin Ramyun has maintained its leading position for nearly 40 years. Nongshim selected a global ambassador for the first time for the Shin Ramyun brand, appointing Aespa, a representative K-pop group with a global fanbase across North America, Europe, and Asia.
This video is also part of a global project targeting overseas markets and is being broadcast mainly in major export countries such as the United States, China, Japan, Europe, and Southeast Asia.
In addition to the commercial, Nongshim has launched the 'Shin Ramyun Aespa Special Package' featuring images of Aespa members. This product was first released in China and then rolled out sequentially in Korea, Australia, and other regions.
