[Financial News] Broadcaster Yoo Jae-suk spoke about the absence of his longtime co-host Cho Sae-ho during the tvN variety show 'You Quiz on the Block.' Cho Sae-ho recently stepped down from the show following controversy over alleged ties to organized crime.
On the 324th episode of 'You Quiz,' which aired on the 24th, former judge and writer Moon Yoo-seok appeared as a guest and shared his story.
Introducing Moon Yoo-seok, Yoo Jae-suk said, “You worked as a judge for 23 years before becoming a writer. These days, it seems more doctors and legal professionals are writing dramas based on their real-life experiences.”
Glancing at the seat beside him, he added, “Now I just keep talking by myself. We used to have a back-and-forth, but now I’m alone.”
Yoo Jae-suk has been hosting the show solo for two consecutive weeks since the broadcast on the 17th.
In a previous episode, he personally announced Cho Sae-ho’s departure, saying, “We’ve worked together for a long time, so hosting alone brings up many thoughts. I hope this becomes a time for self-reflection.”
Recently, as suspicions about Cho Sae-ho’s alleged ties to organized crime surfaced and the controversy grew, he voluntarily left his regular programs, including 'You Quiz' and KBS’s '2 Days & 1 Night.'
On the 9th, Cho Sae-ho posted on his social media, “I should have been more cautious about my associations,” expressing remorse, but also stated, “The allegations are completely untrue.”
