Six Months Newlywed Couple: Korean Husband and Pregnant Wife Both Die in Wrong-Way Crash in the US

[Financial News] Following the recent wrong-way crash in the State of Georgia that claimed the life of a Korean man, his pregnant wife, who had been receiving treatment for serious injuries, and their unborn child have also passed away.
On the 26th, the Athens-Clarke County Police Department announced that Lexi Waldrip, 25, who had been hospitalized after the accident, had died. Waldrip, who was 15 weeks pregnant, was unable to be saved along with her unborn child.
Her husband, Mr. Choi, 25, was pronounced dead at the scene on the day of the accident.
Previously, on the 21st, a four-vehicle collision caused by a wrong-way driver occurred near Athens, a suburb of Atlanta in the State of Georgia.
Investigations revealed that a car driven by Desiree Browning, 26, entered the opposite lane of Georgia State Route 10 (GA 10) and struck two vehicles. The car continued moving after the initial collision and crashed head-on into the vehicle carrying Mr. Choi and his wife.
Mr. Choi died at the scene, while Lexi Waldrip, who suffered critical injuries, passed away on the fourth day of hospitalization. The wrong-way driver, Browning, also died, and her passenger was seriously injured.
Before Lexi's passing, her family created a fundraising page on GoFundMe, appealing for help for Lexi and her baby.
According to GoFundMe, Mr. Choi and Lexi Waldrip were newlyweds who married in June. Lexi's father, Aaron Bedgood, stated, "Lexi, who fought bravely against her injuries, has left us, and we are preparing for her funeral with indescribable pain." He added, "We hope our daughter will be laid to rest beside her husband so they may be together forever."
The Athens police are investigating the route taken by the offending vehicle and the cause of the accident.
