KOSPI Closes Down at 4,108.62 Due to Individual Selling [fn Closing Market Report]

[Financial News] On the 24th, the Korea Composite Stock Price Index (KOSPI) retreated to the 4,100 level as a result of individual investors’ selling.
On this day, KOSPI closed at 4,108.62, down 8.70 points (0.21%) from the previous trading session. The index opened at 4,136.24, up 18.92 points (0.46%), but reversed course and declined in the afternoon.
In the KOSPI Market, foreign investors and institutions bought 519.1 billion won and 200.3 billion won worth of shares, respectively, while individuals sold 717.4 billion won.
Among the top 14 stocks by market capitalization, SK Square (up 1.90%), Shinhan Financial Group (up 1.70%), and Hyundai Motor Company (up 0.70%) closed higher. In contrast, HD Hyundai Heavy Industries (down 2.63%), Hanwha Aerospace (down 2.44%), and Doosan Enerbility (down 2.19%) ended the session lower.
Samsung Electronics, the largest company by market capitalization on the KOSPI, closed at 111,100 won, down 0.36% from the previous session. The KOSDAQ Index finished at 915.20, down 4.36 points (0.47%). The index opened at 921.01, up 1.45 points (0.16%), but later turned downward.
