KOSPI Rises on Foreign and Institutional Buying, Surpassing 4,120 Mark [fn Morning Market Briefing]

As of 10:48 a.m., the KOSPI was trading at 4,124.40, up 7.08 points (0.17%) from the previous trading day. The index opened at 4,136.24, a rise of 18.92 points (0.46%) from the previous session.
In the domestic stock market, individual investors sold shares worth 217.8 billion won, while foreign investors and institutional investors bought 35.4 billion won and 199.8 billion won worth of shares, respectively.
Among the top 14 stocks by market capitalization, Hyundai Motor Company (up 2.44%), SK Square (up 2.38%), and Shinhan Financial Group (up 1.44%) showed the strongest gains. In contrast, HD Hyundai Heavy Industries (down 1.13%), Samsung Biologics (down 1.10%), and Doosan Enerbility (down 0.77%) declined.
Samsung Electronics, the largest company by market capitalization on the KOSPI, was trading at 111,700 won, down 0.18% from the previous session.
The KOSDAQ Index was trading at 917.98, down 1.58 points (0.17%) from the previous session. The index opened at 921.01, up 1.45 points (0.16%).
