Yongsan Police Station announced on the 23rd that Park’s legal representatives had submitted a complaint on the 20th against two former managers on charges of embezzlement in the course of duty.
This follows a previous complaint filed on the 6th, in which Park accused her former managers of attempted extortion, claiming they demanded a large sum of money based on false allegations.
Park’s agency, Anpark, stated that after receiving their severance pay, the former managers continued to demand an amount equivalent to 10% of the previous year’s sales. Park recently appeared before the police for questioning as the complainant.
The former managers have accused Park of special assault and reported her for violating the Act on the Aggravated Punishment, etc. of Specific Economic Crimes (embezzlement), alleging she used company funds for personal purposes, including for her ex-boyfriend.
The case filed by the former managers against Park is being investigated by Gangnam Police Station, while Park’s counter-complaint is under investigation at Yongsan Police Station.jyseo@fnnews.com Seo Ji-yoon Reporter
