Cha Hyun-seung, Who Shared His Battle with Leukemia, Declared Fully Recovered... “Feels Like I’ve Been Given a Second Life”

[Financial News] Cha Hyun-seung, a dancer-turned-actor who previously revealed his battle with leukemia, has been declared fully recovered.
On the 22nd, Cha Hyun-seung uploaded a video titled “The Day I Hear My Bone Marrow Test Results—Am I Really Cured?” to his YouTube channel, showing himself visiting the hospital to receive his test results.
Before heading to the hospital, Cha admitted, “I think the results will be good, but I’m still nervous. I guess I can’t help it,” unable to hide his anxiety.
Cha then visited the doctor’s office to hear his results. The doctor told him, “You are completely cured,” and added, “You’ve been through a lot. As long as you avoid things that are bad for your health, you can do whatever you want.”
Smiling, Cha Hyun-seung said, “Hearing it so clearly makes me incredibly happy,” as he checked his test results. Upon reading a note from a Cancer Center nurse that said, “You’ve been through so much for a long time. I hope your days are filled with peace and excitement as you achieve your dreams,” he smiled brightly again.
After returning home, Cha Hyun-seung shared, “I came home after being told I’m fully cured. It still doesn’t feel real, but I’m so happy and grateful. When I went to the hospital, it was around May, and now it’s just before Christmas. It feels like I’ve received a second life as a Christmas present.”

Reflecting on his experience, Cha said, “When I first had symptoms, I thought, ‘No way,’ but once it was confirmed, I wondered, ‘Why is this happening to me?’” He continued, “I have something to say to fellow patients. Rather than forcing yourself to overcome it, I think it’s better to believe that you’ll get through it with composure. I hope everyone can overcome it without giving up.”
Cha Hyun-seung first gained attention as a dancer at Sunmi’s WATERBOMB Music Festival stage in 2018, and has since appeared in various entertainment shows and dramas. In September, he revealed for the first time on social networking service (SNS) that he had been diagnosed with leukemia and shared his treatment journey.
