[Financial News] BTS (Bangtan Sonyeondan) member RM expressed his disappointment toward his agency.
On the 21st, BTS held a group livestream on the fan community platform Weverse, where they shared updates and discussed their plans to return in 2026.
The members lit candles on a cake prepared for the video and talked about 2026. RM said, "Let's make 2026 the year of BTS—something big is coming." J-Hope added, "2026 is an important year for us."
During the conversation, J-Hope remarked, "I still can't believe 2025 has already passed," while Jimin commented, "This period is the hardest for me."
RM then said, "I wish our company would show us a bit more affection," to which Jin replied, "But they're still doing their best for us." RM responded, "I don't know," and reiterated, "I just wish they would embrace us a little more," expressing his lingering disappointment.
Previously, during a livestream on the 16th, RM said, "I'm so sick of 2025," and "I'm going crazy because I want to make a comeback soon. I really hate this year's end." He continued, "I can't say how much we've prepared, but when will the company announce our comeback date? I wish Hybe would make the announcement a bit sooner," openly criticizing Hybe.
RM also revealed that he had once questioned whether the team should continue. He confessed, "I've thought tens of thousands of times about whether it would be better to disband or to take a break." However, he added, "The reason we keep going is because of the love among the members and the love and respect we have for our fans."
RM further addressed questions from those around him, saying, "People often ask, 'Why did you waste the second half of 2025?' or 'Why didn't you do anything?' We didn't want to waste that time either. After my discharge, I wanted to be active as much as possible." He continued, "There was a reason we decided not to promote in the second half of the year, but I can't share everything. I don't have the right to say those things."
He went on, "I want to perform too. Our last concert was in October 2022, so it's been over three years since then. I genuinely want to be on stage again." He added, "It's frustrating to only be preparing without being able to perform."
Since debuting in June 2013, BTS has continuously renewed its contract with Hybe. In September 2023, they signed their second renewal. After Suga completed his military service in June, all BTS members have now finished their mandatory service, raising anticipation for their full-group activities.
