[Financial News] A lawyer with 500,000 subscribers strongly criticized comedian Park Na-rae’s explanation and response.
On the 17th, Jay Lee, head attorney at LAW&MORE, addressed Park Na-rae’s statement and her approach to the situation in detail on his YouTube channel.
Lee remarked, "I’ll call Park Na-rae’s way of living ‘Narae-style’ for short," and continued, "Park Na-rae announced a suspension of activities until the issue is fully resolved, citing that she had misunderstandings with her former managers but cleared them up after meeting with them."
He went on, "You cannot handle things this way. If you try to gloss over the seriousness of the matter, it will only escalate further," adding, "She claimed she treated her former managers ‘like family,’ but it is inappropriate to refer to a professional relationship as family. That shows a lack of discernment."
Lee also pointed out that Park Na-rae’s perception itself is problematic. He stated, "She lacks a sense of the problem. Saying ‘there were misunderstandings’ will not resolve the issue. She doesn’t realize how serious her situation is. It’s as if her brain has stopped functioning."
He also addressed the legal aspects. On the 5th, Park Na-rae’s former managers filed a complaint with Gangnam Police Station, accusing her of aggravated assault, defamation by spreading false information, and violating the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection (defamation). Yongsan Police Station is currently investigating Park Na-rae’s counterclaim against her former managers for attempted extortion.
Lee explained, "If the allegations include throwing a wine glass and injuring a manager, that could constitute aggravated assault. Misunderstandings do not lead to aggravated assault," he argued. He also added, "It seems she had no one around her to give proper advice."
He further noted, "Meeting with the former managers actually worsened the situation. If the perpetrator announces reconciliation when there was none, even possible reconciliation becomes impossible. Victims should not be treated carelessly. That’s why the former managers have decided to fight back," he analyzed regarding the additional revelations.
Regarding the settlement process, he said, "I heard that she suggested going to a karaoke bar while under the influence during the settlement meeting. An apology should be made once, and there should only be one attempt at settlement. This is not a negotiation. She wasted a golden opportunity."
He also criticized Park Na-rae’s statement that she ‘did not want to inconvenience her colleagues,’ saying, "This is not merely an inconvenience; there are actual victims. If you try to dismiss illegal acts as mere mistakes, the problem cannot be resolved."
Six Lawsuits and Complaints Surrounding Park Na-rae

Meanwhile, Park Na-rae, who was reported for alleged illegal medical practices, announced after suspending her activities on the 16th, "There are facts that need to be verified, so legal procedures are underway."
There are a total of six lawsuits and complaints involving Park Na-rae. Of these, five cases list Park Na-rae as the accused, while one was filed by her side.
Her former managers accused Park Na-rae at Gangnam Police Station of workplace harassment, verbal abuse, aggravated assault, proxy prescriptions, and unpaid project expenses, citing aggravated assault, defamation by spreading false information, and violations of the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection.
Park Na-rae filed a counterclaim against her former managers for attempted extortion, and this case is currently under investigation at Yongsan Police Station.
Park Na-rae has also been reported for allegedly receiving IV drips from an unlicensed individual and being provided with psychotropic drugs that require a specialist’s prescription.
