The Korea Venture Business Association (KOVA) announced on the 11th that it has officially launched the ‘KOVA LP Club’, a practical private investment network, following the completion of its first private investor training program this year.
KOVA held the first graduation ceremony for the ‘KOVA LP Academy’ on the 3rd. On the 10th, the launch ceremony for the KOVA LP Club, centered on the graduates, took place. By activating the investment club immediately after the training, KOVA has established a one-stop private investment ecosystem that integrates education, networking, and practical investment.
The eight-week KOVA LP Academy was attended by CEOs of listed companies, mid-sized firms, venture businesses, exit founders, and venture ecosystem experts with real investment capacity. The curriculum focused on practical topics, including global venture investment structures, the role of LPs, industry-specific investment trends, tax and legal matters, domestic and cross-border investment cases, investment review, and post-investment management.
The KOVA LP Club is a private LP-exclusive network centered on graduates. At the launch ceremony on the 10th, more than 30 graduates and invited guests attended to share the latest investment trends and discuss ways to discover promising venture companies and collaborate on joint investments.
KOVA plans to foster this club as a key platform for channeling private capital into the venture ecosystem. The association aims to establish a sustainable private investment base by expanding future sessions and holding regular meetings.
An association official stated, “Expanding the private LP base is a key driver for creating a virtuous cycle in the venture investment ecosystem, and this first session marks the starting point. As the LP network becomes regularized around the KOVA LP Club, the flow and connectivity of capital within the ecosystem will be further strengthened.”
Meanwhile, in response to the growing demand for venture investment, the association plans to open the second session of the ‘KOVA LP Academy’ in March 2026. An enhanced, practice-oriented curriculum and networking program will be provided.
