[Financial News] In Thailand, a man in his 60s died after being bitten by a wild monkey that broke into his home.
On the 8th (local time), foreign media including the UK's Daily Mail and The Mirror reported that Chaiphum Sae-ung, 63, a resident of Yala Province, was found dead on the 6th with dozens of bite marks all over his body, including his left leg.
His body was discovered by his nephew, who had come to visit. Chaiphum was found collapsed against a wall, clutching a metal rod believed to have been used to fend off the monkey. Dried blood stains and various animal footprints were also found near the body.
When police arrived, the monkey was reportedly glaring at them from a structure above the ceiling. There were no signs of foul play, and an order has now been issued to euthanize the monkey. According to local residents, this monkey had previously exhibited aggressive behavior, often chasing female monkeys.
Jakarin Raksana, an inspector at Betong Police Station, stated, "Based on the condition of the body, it appears he had been dead for about two to three days," adding, "The body was transported to the hospital for an autopsy."
