[The Financial News] After his motorcycle slipped while delivering on a snowy road, a delivery driver posted about people’s reactions online, receiving a warm response from the public.
On the 7th, a short post and video titled, "I fell during a delivery, and people’s reactions were..." was uploaded to Instagram.
The video was posted by a user who shares the daily life of a delivery driver under the username 'AppaDon' on social networking services (SNS). At first glance, the post seems to foreshadow a negative situation. However, the video reveals the exact opposite.
AppaDon introduces his motorcycle, which he bought secondhand, and rides along the road. Although the snow had stopped, the road was still slick with both melted and unmelted snow. Suddenly, the motorcycle tipped over.
Immediately after falling, the driver was more worried about the food being delivered than his own body. As he got up, the video caption read, "I think my body is fine, but do I have to pay for the food?"
At that moment, a passerby who witnessed the fall ran over, asked if he was okay, and handed him a hand warmer. Even as AppaDon returned the hand warmer, he made sure to thank the passerby.
The heartwarming scenes continued.
As he delivered food to each location, he explained, "I fell on the way here. Please check your food, and if you can’t eat it, contact customer service." At the first stop, a Korean traditional medicine clinic, someone asked, "Are you alright?" and said, "As long as the food isn’t ruined, it’s fine." At another stop, a customer reassured him, saying, "If you contact customer service for no reason, they’ll blame the driver. I know because I’ve worked in delivery, too."
Since the video was posted, it has received over 15,000 likes as of the 9th, reflecting the enthusiastic response from netizens.
Comments included, "The world is still worth living in; the weather is cold, but people are warm," "Korea is still a good place to live," and "There are so many good people out there."
One netizen wrote, "I feel like I hit the jackpot. From the hand warmer angel to the staff at the Korean traditional medicine clinic and the delivery business owner, everyone in the video was so warm-hearted," mentioning each person who appeared.
Another netizen shared, "It’s been a year since I started delivering after my business failed," recounting his own experience.
This netizen added, "There’s one customer request that I always remember: 'It’s okay if you’re late. Please always drive safely, thinking of your family at home.' It made me tear up a little," and continued, "The world is still warm. To all delivery drivers, please always deliver safely."
