[Financial News] Comedian Cho Sae-ho has ultimately decided to leave tvN's 'You Quiz on the Block' and KBS 2TV's '2 Days & 1 Night (1N2D)'.

On the 9th, Cho Sae-ho's agency announced, "Cho Sae-ho will be stepping down from tvN's 'You Quiz on the Block' and KBS 2TV's '2 Days & 1 Night (1N2D)'."
They continued, "Cho Sae-ho feels a deep sense of responsibility regarding the recent misunderstandings and controversies surrounding him. He is fully aware of the discomfort felt by viewers who love these programs. He also hopes that the production staff, who work tirelessly on these shows, will not be burdened by the attention directed at him. After discussions with the production teams, he has decided to voluntarily step down."

The statement added, "Cho Sae-ho and our agency intend to respond to this matter with utmost seriousness. We will take swift and firm legal action to resolve the misunderstandings surrounding Cho Sae-ho and to restore his damaged reputation. We promise to dispel all suspicions and ensure his healthy return."
They also emphasized, "As previously stated, Cho Sae-ho has no connection whatsoever to Choi's business, which is at the center of the allegations. Furthermore, the claim that he received money or valuables from Choi for promotional purposes is completely untrue."

Previously, Cho Sae-ho was embroiled in rumors of being associated with Choi, who is suspected of being involved in organized crime.

Recently, Person A claimed on their Social Networking Service (SNS) account that Cho Sae-ho was close to Choi and alleged that Cho Sae-ho had received expensive gifts from Choi. Person A also released photos showing Cho Sae-ho and Choi together, which sparked controversy.
On the 5th, Cho Sae-ho's agency clarified, "Person A has raised suspicions through their SNS account, suggesting that Cho Sae-ho is directly or indirectly involved in Choi's actions. However, these are merely Person A's personal speculations and are not true."
The agency also announced, "We are actively considering both criminal and civil legal action against Person A for defamation and obstruction of business through the dissemination of false information about our artist."
