[The Financial News] Comedian Cho Sae-ho has come under suspicion for alleged ties to organized crime and illegal gambling money laundering. While Cho Sae-ho's side dismissed these allegations as mere speculation, the whistleblower stated an intention to continue revealing more information.
Mr. A, who raised the allegations, stated on the 8th via social networking service (SNS), "Starting tomorrow, I will continue to fight for the truth, step by step, until it prevails. I have received many tips regarding gambling money laundering, and I plan to disclose them."
Mr. A added that he had spent the weekend deeply contemplating the matter, saying, "Honestly, I am only human, and I am afraid of gangsters."
He also addressed rumors that he had received money from those around him, firmly denying them by stating, "That is absolutely not true. I have not received a single won. Even when people offered to support me, I never accepted anything."

Mr. A called out to Cho Sae-ho, saying, "Instead of just threatening lawsuits, I hope the comedian I admire, Cho Sae-ho, will respond like a man and offer a proper explanation."
Previously, on the 29th of last month, Mr. A posted on Instagram, raising suspicions that Cho Sae-ho frequently visited a franchise effectively owned by local organized crime boss Mr. B, received expensive gifts, and promoted the business.
Along with these claims, Mr. A released photos showing Cho Sae-ho with his arm around Mr. B while singing, as well as posing at Mr. B's franchise. Mr. A asserted, "Mr. B operates illegal gambling sites both domestically and internationally and launders money. Should a national comedian maintain such a relationship?" He argued that Cho Sae-ho was implicated in Mr. B's illegal money laundering activities.
In response, Cho Sae-ho's side maintained that all of Mr. A's claims were purely speculative. A2Z Entertainment, his agency, released a statement on the 5th, emphasizing, "The allegations that Cho Sae-ho is directly or indirectly involved in Mr. B's activities are nothing more than Mr. A's personal speculation." The agency also stated that the claim about Cho Sae-ho receiving expensive gifts from Mr. B is "no more and no less than Mr. A's conjecture."
A2Z Entertainment warned, "To prevent our artist's activities from being hindered by the indiscriminate spread of false claims, we will respond strictly and without tolerance to baseless slander, malicious posts, and the reckless dissemination of falsehoods and rumors, in accordance with the principle of zero tolerance."
