[Financial News] The stars of League of Legends Champions Korea (LCK), who once again proved themselves as the world's premier league in 2025, will finally be revealed.
Riot Games, the organizer of Korea’s professional League of Legends esports league, announced on the 8th that the 2025 LCK Awards, which will spotlight the league’s brightest stars—from 'Player of the Year' to 'Best Team'—will be held on the 19th at the CJ ENM Center in Sangam-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul.
The LCK Awards is the league’s most prestigious ceremony, marking the end of the season. Hosted by Riot Games, trophies will be awarded to the players and teams who delivered the most outstanding performances in 2025.
Awards will be presented for 'Player of the Year' as well as the best players in each position: Top, Jungle, Mid, Bottom, and Support. There will also be presentations for the previously announced Regular Season MVP and LCK First Team, along with the one-time-only 'Rookie of the Year' award and Coach of the Year. Special awards, presented directly by LCK sponsors, are also planned.
This year’s awards naturally draw attention to the rivalry between Gen.G Esports and T1.
Gen.G Esports showcased overwhelming dominance in the 2025 LCK, the first single-season format after the league’s restructuring, and claimed the inaugural championship. The team allowed only one loss in 30 regular season matches and secured the title through the playoffs. Gen.G Esports also demonstrated their international prowess by winning back-to-back Mid-Season Invitational (MSI) titles and the Esports World Cup (EWC), and reached the semifinals at the League of Legends World Championship (Worlds).
T1 may have fallen short in the LCK, but they shone on the biggest stage. Entering Worlds as the LCK’s fourth seed, T1 advanced from the play-ins all the way to the finals and ultimately lifted the trophy. With this, T1 became the first team in League of Legends esports history to achieve a three-peat at Worlds.
Who will be named the best player of this remarkable season? The moment when the year’s top team and individuals are revealed will come on the night of the 19th.
The LCK Awards can be attended in person or watched via live online broadcast. Tickets for on-site attendance will be distributed through official LCK social media events, and the ceremony will be streamed live on major platforms including the LCK Global YouTube Channel, Soop, and Naver Esports & Games.
