[Seoul] Park Jie-won, a member of the Democratic Party of Korea (DPK), speaks during an expert lecture at the Agricultural Innovation Forum held at the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea in Yeouido, Seoul, on the morning of the 10th.

[Financial News] Park Jie-won, a lawmaker from the Democratic Party of Korea (DPK), remarked that Lee Jae Myung, the current president, embodies the combined strengths of former presidents Kim Dae-jung and Kim Young-sam.
On the 7th, Park wrote on his social media, "DJ+YS=JM?!" and stated, "When I think of President Lee Jae Myung, who marks six months in office, I sometimes wonder if he is the result of merging the strengths of Presidents Kim Dae-jung and Kim Young-sam."
Park highlighted that President Lee possesses "the critical thinking of a scholar, the practical sense of a merchant, logical skills and eloquence that allow him to see far like a telescope and closely like a microscope. He jokes that as long as he is healthy, he can borrow others’ brains, and that he has read fewer books in his life than Kim Dae-jung has written." Park emphasized, "However, his political instincts are unmatched, and he has the agility and boldness to address pressing issues head-on."
He continued, "When a decision must be reversed or changed, he makes a 180-degree turn on the spot. As a result, the media cannot drag the same issue for more than three days," citing examples from the tenures of Kim Dae-jung and Kim Young-sam.
Having previously served as chief of staff to former President Kim Dae-jung, Park added, "If President Kim Dae-jung wanted to make a 180-degree change, he would explain it to the public one degree at a time each day, ultimately facing criticism from the media 180 times. When I suggested to Kim Young-sam that we make a 180-degree turn in a single day, President Kim Dae-jung would insist on persuading the public." Park concluded, "If the strengths of both presidents were combined into one, I believe that person would be President Lee Jae Myung. What do you think?"
