[Financial News] Hyun Taek Lim, president of the Korean Pediatric Association, has filed a complaint with the prosecution against Ms. Lee, who is accused of administering an IV drip to broadcaster Park Na-rae. The charges include violations of the Medical Service Act, the Pharmaceutical Affairs Act, and fraud. Lim also requested that Park Na-rae be investigated as a co-conspirator, alleging that she aided and abetted Ms. Lee’s illegal medical practices.
Lim, who previously served as president of the Korean Medical Association (KMA), announced the filing via social media on the 8th. He stated, "Ms. Lee is not a licensed doctor, yet she acted as one by administering injections and performing other medical procedures on Park Na-rae. This constitutes violations of the Special Act on the Control of Health Crimes, the Medical Service Act, the Pharmaceutical Affairs Act, and fraud."
Lim further added, "I have also requested an investigation into Ms. Lee's husband, Park Na-rae's manager, and Park Na-rae herself to determine whether they were accomplices or aided and abetted these acts."
He also urged authorities to expand the investigation to see if other celebrities have engaged in similar illegal activities.
Previously, Lim mentioned that Ms. Lee had introduced herself as 'the youngest professor at Inner Mongolia Pugang Medical University and director (special professor) of Korea Plastic Surgery Center,' claiming to be a medical professional. Lim demanded, regardless of her medical qualifications in China, "Reveal whether you hold a medical license in Korea and provide the license number issued by the Minister of Health and Welfare." He emphasized that anyone without a Korean medical license is an unlicensed practitioner and merely claims to be a doctor, and thus is not qualified to prescribe IV drips or similar treatments.
Lim pointed out, "After the controversy arose, Ms. Lee, who claims to be a doctor, deleted all her information from Instagram and disappeared." He stressed that these circumstances clearly indicate she is a fraud and called for a swift investigation and punishment.
