On the 7th, Park Mi-sun posted a photo taken at the hospital on her Social Networking Service (SNS), writing, “This photo was taken while I was at the hospital. Honestly, after getting sick, I became more reserved, and since there are many others who are also suffering, I felt cautious about sharing, worried I might seem overly dramatic. But so many people have told me they found comfort and strength in my story, so I uploaded another YouTube video today. I hope even a few people can find encouragement.”
She continued, “To everyone who is sick or struggling, please stay strong. This too shall pass. Stay strong!”
In the released photo, Park Mi-sun’s gray hair is visible, as she has been unable to dye it during her treatment. Despite this, she displays a bright smile and a positive atmosphere. Fans have left supportive comments such as, “You are still beautiful even when unwell.”
Previously, Park Mi-sun was diagnosed with early-stage breast cancer last winter and underwent surgery on December 24. However, during the operation, lymph node metastasis was discovered, leading to chemotherapy. Throughout the process, she suffered severe side effects, including hospitalization for pneumonia, hives, numbness in her hands and feet, and loss of voice. She remarked, “I felt like I was dying even though the treatment was to save my life,” evoking sympathy.
Park Mi-sun, who is 58 years old this year, married Lee Bong-won in 1993 and has one son and one daughter.
