[Financial News] Kang Hoon-sik, Chief of Staff at the Office of the President of South Korea, stated on the 7th, "We expect the relocation of the presidential office facilities to Cheong Wa Dae (the Blue House) to be completed around Christmas."
At a press briefing on the six-month achievements of the Lee Jae-myung administration held at the Office of the President of South Korea in Yongsan District, Kang provided this explanation regarding the relocation plan to Cheong Wa Dae.
There was also a question about plans to move the administrative capital, including the relocation of the Office of the President of South Korea to Sejong Special Self-Governing City.
In response, Kang Hoon-sik prefaced his remarks by saying, "It may be a bit premature to discuss this," but added, "President Lee Jae-myung previously mentioned that he might even retire in Sejong Special Self-Governing City."
