[Financial News] Actor Cho Jin-woong, who has been embroiled in the Controversy over Juvenile Offenses, has officially announced his retirement.
On the 6th, through his agency Saram Entertainment, Cho Jin-woong stated, “I sincerely apologize to everyone who believed in and supported me for disappointing you due to my past misconduct.”
He continued, “I humbly accept all criticism, and as of today, I will cease all activities and bring my acting career to an end.”
Regarding his decision to retire, Cho Jin-woong said, “I believe this is the rightful responsibility and duty I must bear for my past mistakes. From now on, I will do my best to reflect and stand upright as a person.”
Previously, allegations surfaced that Cho Jin-woong had committed offenses as a teenager and received juvenile protection measures. His agency acknowledged this the previous day, stating, “There were wrongful actions during his minor years,” and issued an apology.
