[Financial News] The book 'Trend Korea 2026' surpassed 54,000 saves on KT Millie's Library within just two weeks of its release. The number of books added to the library in the economy and business category, which includes trend-related books, also surged by nearly 20% over the same period. This reflects growing demand from readers preparing for the future as the year draws to a close.
Millie's Library released data on the 5th comparing book usage from November 15 to 31 with the previous period from November 1 to 15.
The number of trend-related books added to the economy and business category increased by more than 17% in early November compared to late October. Among the top 50 books in the economy and business category, eight were trend-related titles.
According to Millie's Library, the rise in trend book usage is closely linked to the end-of-year season. As people reflect on the past year and prepare for the new one, readers across generations and fields are eager to anticipate future changes.
In particular, trend outlook books that cover society, culture, and the economy are increasingly seen as practical resources for planning and decision-making, rather than just sources of information. As a result, interest in these books tends to spike at the end of each year.
Among these, 'Trend Korea,' released on Millie's Library in early November, exceeded 54,000 saves within two weeks. The gender ratio of users was fairly balanced, with 54% women and 46% men. By age group, those in their 30s accounted for the largest share at 31%, followed by people in their 20s at 16%.
Millie's Library explained that people in their 20s and 30s have high usage rates for these books because they are at an age where they must make practical decisions and remain economically active, and these books provide them with actionable direction. Millie's Library offers 'Trend Korea 2026' not only as an e-book, but also in various formats such as audiobook, chat book, and docent book.
To provide readers with insights into various fields, Millie's Library is also releasing original content in its trend category. Recently, in collaboration with Ottogi, it published the '3-Minute Trend Workbook,' which explores cultural trends revealed through food preferences.
