[Financial News] On December 3, marking one year since Martial Law on December 3, former President Yoon Suk Yeol released a statement that was sharply criticized as 'delusional' by Yoo In-tae, former Secretary General of the National Assembly.
On the CBS radio program 'Kim Hyun-jung's News Show' on the 4th, Yoo stated, "He lives in a world of delusion, so it's not even worth mentioning. Is that really something to say right now?"
In his prison statement titled 'A Message to the People on December 3,' former President Yoon insisted, "The December 3 Martial Law was a response to an attempted coup aimed at paralyzing the government and destroying the constitutional order of freedom," adding, "It was a resolute fulfillment of my constitutional duty to protect the people's freedom and sovereignty."
In response, Yoo remarked, "He can't drink in prison, but he still seems intoxicated. Is someone secretly supplying him with alcohol?"
Cho Kuk, leader of the Rebuilding Korea Party, also criticized Yoon at the Supreme Council meeting in the National Assembly, saying, "Yoon Suk Yeol, the ringleader of the rebellion, once again blamed the Democratic Party of Korea (DPK) for the martial law and revived claims of election fraud. Such comments are truly befitting a traitor," and added, "Is he still drunk, or does he suffer from 'Ripley syndrome,' believing his own lies?"

Han Dong-hoon, former leader of the People Power Party, also appeared on the SBS radio program 'Kim Tae-hyun's Political Show' the same day, stating, "(Yoon's statement) justifies martial law," and emphasized, "Now is not the time to make such remarks."
He also addressed the People Power Party, saying, "There should be no more justification of martial law, no 'Yoon Again,' and no enlightenment decrees. This should be the party's position going forward."
The only one to support Yoon's statement was Jang Dong-hyuk, leader of the People Power Party. In his own statement marking the first anniversary of Martial Law on December 3, he did not apologize, instead asserting it was 'martial law to resist parliamentary tyranny,' echoing the rationale Yoon gave a year ago.
However, Jang also admitted, "The impeachment that followed martial law led to a series of political tragedies in Korea, causing disappointment and confusion among citizens and party members. The People Power Party also cannot be free from responsibility for failing to unite and fight properly. As party leader, I fully acknowledge this responsibility."
