[Financial News] Broadcaster Cho Sae-ho's side has denied allegations of involvement with organized crime.
On the 4th, a post exposing Cho Sae-ho was uploaded to a Social Networking Service (SNS).
A user known as 'A', who operates an account reporting various crimes, stated, "It seems that Cho Sae-ho frequently visits a franchise restaurant actually owned by gangster boss Mr. B," and released a photo of Cho Sae-ho taken in front of the restaurant.
The same user further claimed, "Cho Sae-ho should reflect on his actions. Is it appropriate for a national comedian to promote a franchise run by a gangster, frequently associate with Mr. B, the most influential figure in the Geochang region, drink with him, and receive expensive gifts under the pretext of friendship?" A photo of Cho Sae-ho and Mr. B together was also posted.
The user went on to allege that Mr. B is the head of the largest illegal money laundering organization in the country and questioned the nature of his relationship with Cho Sae-ho.
As the rumors spread through online communities, A2Z Entertainment, Cho Sae-ho's agency, stated, "Cho Sae-ho and Mr. B are merely acquaintances, and the claim that he received gifts is completely untrue," firmly denying the allegations.
Meanwhile, Cho Sae-ho debuted as a comedian in the 6th open recruitment of Seoul Broadcasting System (SBS) in 2001 and has been active on various entertainment programs. In October last year, he married a non-celebrity who is nine years younger than him.
