[The Financial News] Broadcaster Kim Dae-ho has drawn attention after revealing that, since leaving Munhwa Broadcasting Corporation (MBC) and becoming a freelancer, he has earned as much as he did in four years as a salaried employee.
On the 2nd, Kim Dae-ho shared this in a video posted on his YouTube channel 'Dirt Heart Daeho,' where he visited a matchmaking agency for a consultation.
Marking his 10th year as a single, Kim Dae-ho visited the matchmaking agency and said, “I want to get married before I turn 50, and I also want to have children. I think my last relationship was about ten years ago. Every time I dated, I dreamed of getting married.”
The topic of income came up during the consultation. When asked about his earnings, Kim Dae-ho responded, “It’s not bad. In the nine months since I left, I’ve made about four years’ worth of salary compared to what I would have earned at MBC.” Last year, while still at MBC, he appeared on a YouTube channel and explained, “Announcers actually receive their salaries based on seniority. As a deputy manager with 14 years of experience, my annual salary was about 100 million won.”
Kim Dae-ho also mentioned that he owns two houses and has received a signing bonus from his current agency. He added, “I have two addresses. I wonder if this is appealing,” and emphasized, “I drink alcohol but do not smoke.”
Regarding his ideal type, he said, “To be honest, I like someone who doesn’t nag. I hope she is someone who loves her own life, and instead of only focusing on each other, I’d like us to walk together in the same direction, hand in hand. I want a relationship where we can be friends who support each other during tough times.”
Meanwhile, Kim Dae-ho joined MBC as an announcer in 2011 and left the company this past February. He is now working as a freelancer under an exclusive contract with ONE HUNDRED.
