[Financial News] Conservative commentator Cho Gab-je, head of Chogabje TV, offered sharp criticism toward former President Yoon Suk Yeol, who referred to Jeon Han-gil, a former Korean history instructor turned conservative YouTuber, as 'teacher' and 'a gift from God.'
On the 1st, Cho stated on his YouTube channel that 'Former President Yoon, currently detained at the Seoul Detention Center and standing trial on charges of leading an insurrection, wrote a letter from prison to Jeon Han-gil, a former history instructor known for his election fraud conspiracy theories.' Cho added, 'In the letter, Yoon Suk Yeol wrote, “Mr. Jeon is a precious gift sent to Korea by God.” He also said, “I pray every morning and evening that God will protect Mr. Jeon’s safety and health.”'
Cho went on to criticize, saying, 'Yoon refers to Jeon Han-gil, who is younger than him and a false agitator, as “teacher” and “God’s gift,” yet in the courtroom for insurrection, he tries to shift responsibility onto his subordinate generals, calling them “this guy” and “that guy.”'
Cho further remarked, 'I wonder if the person who wrote in his letter to Jeon, “God will never abandon this country, and I firmly believe and pray that He will bring freedom, peace, the gospel, and unification,” is the same person who appeared at a debate with the character ‘King’ (王) written on his palm.' He emphasized, 'If Yoon Suk Yeol’s claim of accepting God is not a lie, he should immediately write a letter to the public confessing that there was no election fraud and ask for forgiveness.'
Previously, on the 20th of last month, during his trial on charges of leading an insurrection, Yoon Suk Yeol questioned Hong Jang-won, former First Deputy Director of the National Intelligence Service (NIS), who appeared as a witness: 'When Yeo In-hyung asked you to request real-time location tracking from the telecom company, I told you, “Hey, show me the list,” but honestly, I thought, “This guy, as the Commander of the Defense Counterintelligence Command, doesn’t even know the basics of investigation.”'
To argue that he had not given such instructions, Yoon referred to former Commander of the Defense Counterintelligence Command Yeo In-hyung as “Yeo In-hyung,” “this guy,” and “guy.”
In response, Hong Jang-won said, 'So, did Yeo In-hyung attempt to arrest politicians on his own judgment? You’re not trying to shift responsibility to your subordinates, are you?'
In contrast, in the letter from prison released by Jeon Han-gil on the 28th of last month, Yoon referred to Jeon as “teacher.”
