[Financial News] The Ministry of Justice (MOJ) announced that the Final Examination for Prosecutorial Practice, which was administered at law schools, will be re-administered within this month.
On the 1st, the MOJ stated, "Regarding the Final Examination for Prosecutorial Practice 1, which was simultaneously conducted at 25 law schools nationwide on the 29th of last month, it was found that at a particular school, lectures on the 'Regulation on the Titles of Offenses to Be Stated in Indictments and Non-Prosecution Decisions' were held beyond the scope of prior agreement among professors. During these lectures, certain offense titles, which were highlighted as important, were presented to students." The ministry added, "It has been confirmed that some of these offense titles actually appeared on the exam."
The MOJ further explained, "Prosecutor professors who lecture at law schools nationwide are affiliated with the Legal Research and Training Institute. To ensure uniform lectures at all schools, they prepare lecture materials through consultation. However, in this case, lectures were given beyond the agreed scope, which could significantly impact the fairness of the assessment. Therefore, we have decided to re-administer the final examination."
The re-examination is scheduled to take place within this month. The ministry stated that it will be conducted promptly after coordinating schedules with each school.
