LG Electronics Inc. Named 'Europe's Top TV Brand,' Demonstrating OLED TV Competitiveness

[Financial News] LG Electronics Inc. has once again proven its solid leadership in the premium TV market in Europe by being selected as the top TV brand by European consumers.
LG Electronics Inc. announced on the 30th that it was chosen as the 'Best TV Brand' at the recently held 'Euroconsumer Award 2025,' which selects the best home appliance brands representing local European consumers. Marking its seventh year, the Euroconsumer Award introduced detailed categories for the first time this year, and LG Electronics Inc. became the first recipient in the TV category.
The Euroconsumer Award is co-hosted by consumer media outlets from Belgium, Portugal, Spain, Italy, and Brazil, all members of the International Consumer Research & Testing (ICRT), a coalition of 37 leading consumer organizations. Products from each brand are evaluated in test labs under strict criteria by experts. To better reflect consumer voices, satisfaction and trust surveys are conducted not only in the five member countries but also across Europe, including the Netherlands, Czech Republic, Denmark, Austria, Slovenia, and Hungary.
LG Electronics Inc. was named the best TV brand after receiving top scores in both expert-led product testing and consumer surveys on satisfaction and trust.
The secret behind LG TVs being recognized as the best by European consumers lies in the exceptional popularity of LG OLED TV, which has been built on twelve years of innovative technology since LG Electronics Inc. first commercialized it in 2013. This year, cumulative sales of LG OLED TV in the European market surpassed 10 million units. After reaching around 5 million units in cumulative sales by 2021, just eight years after launch, sales have accelerated, doubling in only four years to exceed 10 million units.
European consumers have a strong preference for high-definition content, making the outstanding contrast ratio and vivid color reproduction of LG OLED TV a key differentiator. With no backlight, the slim and simple design of OLED TVs has also made them popular as interior design elements in European homes, where the living room is central.
Additionally, Europe is a market where sports broadcasts, such as the Premier League (EPL), are an integral part of daily life. The ultra-fast response time and high refresh rate of LG OLED TV deliver an optimal viewing experience for sports fans, satisfying even the most discerning European customers, according to LG Electronics Inc.
Alongside Europe, LG OLED TV is also recognized as the best product in North America, another major premium TV market. LG OLED TV has dominated TV comparison evaluations published by Consumer Reports, a leading U.S. consumer media outlet. It has achieved the highest scores and ranked first across all screen size categories, including 70 inches and above, 65 inches, 55–60 inches, 46–52 inches, and 39–43 inches.
