NC AI Launches AI-Based 3D Generation Platform ‘VARCO 3D’

VARCO 3D is an AI-powered platform that enables users to create and utilize professional-grade 3D assets with simple text or image inputs. VARCO 3D offers a practical solution to chronic challenges in the 3D asset creation process. It reduces production time from over four weeks to as little as three minutes and cuts costs to around 500 KRW per 3D asset. Traditional 3D modeling required expensive software and advanced expertise, making it a field with high entry barriers. Indie game developers with small teams and AI-based creators have faced real limitations in securing 3D resources and using tools, while large-scale game production environments have struggled with inefficiency due to repetitive manual work and lengthy production times.
VARCO 3D has achieved a breakthrough in productivity by providing an end-to-end solution that fully automates the entire 3D asset creation process. Users can complete every step, from conceptualizing 2D art to generating 3D models, animating, and playing them, all within the VARCO 3D environment.
Beyond simple generation, VARCO 3D also offers features for fine-tuning and controlling the output. Users can add or remove objects while maintaining specific areas of the generated mesh, and freely adjust polygon count and topology. With the ability to apply various PBR textures, assets can be instantly adapted to different moods and styles.
A game development contest held last August demonstrated the real-world applicability of VARCO 3D. The winning team created 82% of their total 3D assets using VARCO 3D, with 38% of those assets being used in the game without any additional post-processing. This case showed that even small teams with limited experience in 3D tools could produce high-quality assets.
