Genians Inc. announced on the 1st that it has been selected as a '2025 Work-Life Balance Excellent Company of Korea,' a program organized by the Ministry of Employment and Labor (MOEL).
The 2025 Work-Life Balance Excellent Company of Korea program recognizes companies that set an example in promoting work-life balance for employees, such as flexible work arrangements, reduced working hours, encouraging the use of annual leave, and supporting the combination of work and childcare. This year, a total of 183 companies were selected. Certified companies receive various benefits, including exemption from regular labor inspections, preferential access to government support programs, financial and interest rate advantages, and support for research personnel.
The evaluation process included both document reviews and on-site inspections. Genians Inc. received high marks for its stable operation of flexible work systems, high vacation usage rates, and efforts to improve organizational culture based on employee feedback.
All employees at Genians Inc. fully utilize flexible work arrangements, including remote work and staggered working hours. Departments can autonomously adjust their schedules according to their specific characteristics and work situations. Employees with children can flexibly coordinate their schedules to accommodate drop-off, pick-up, and medical appointments.
In recent years, Genians Inc. has maintained an annual leave usage rate of over 95%, reaching about 98% last year. By simply registering their plans in Google Calendar, employees can take leave without the burden of writing reasons or seeking approval, creating an environment where vacation is easily accessible. Since August this year, the company has also introduced a half-day leave system, allowing for more tailored time off to suit individual needs.
To support employees’ family lives, Genians Inc. actively encourages parental leave for all employees, regardless of gender. The company also operates a 'Family Day' policy, where employees work only in the morning on the third Friday of every month. On Children’s Day each year, employees with minor children receive gift certificates as part of the company’s customized family-friendly welfare programs. Genians Inc. explained that it continues to expand practical and effective benefits that employees truly want through regular satisfaction surveys and labor-management council meetings.
Lee Dong-bum, CEO of Genians Inc., stated, “We expect this recognition will not only boost employee satisfaction but also enhance our corporate image and create a positive cycle for attracting top talent.”
