[Financial News] Nota Inc. announced on the 1st that it has signed a strategic memorandum of understanding (MOU) with FuriosaAI, an AI semiconductor company, for collaboration on Neural Processing Unit (NPU)-based AI technology.
Power efficiency and high-speed inference performance, which are key to NPU competitiveness, are essential for reliably executing complex and advanced AI model computations across various AI workloads. Nota Inc. emphasized that this partnership is significant as it represents a strategic collaboration between an AI semiconductor company and an AI optimization software company, both aiming to achieve these goals with domestic technology.
The two companies plan to cooperate on AI solution development and commercialization, expanding technical partnerships, and conducting projects to verify technology and business feasibility.
Specifically, Nota Inc. will support FuriosaAI’s NPU in running large-scale AI models quickly even with limited power. By leveraging Nota Inc.’s AI optimization technology, the performance of FuriosaAI’s NPU will be enhanced, contributing to market expansion. Based on this, the companies will work together to build proof-of-concept models applicable to various industries such as robotics and mobility, and to advance into domestic and global markets.
Myungsu Chae, CEO of Nota Inc., stated, “This collaboration is meaningful as it strengthens the competitiveness of the domestic semiconductor industry through the synergy of our technologies. Nota Inc. will actively support the stable operation of large-scale AI models by maximizing the power efficiency and high-speed inference performance of FuriosaAI’s NPU with our AI optimization technology.”
Baek Jun-ho, CEO of FuriosaAI, said, “As AI workloads become more advanced, the demand for infrastructure performance and efficiency in inference environments will only increase. Through our partnership with Nota Inc., we will be able to support a wider range of cutting-edge AI models more quickly and efficiently on FuriosaAI’s second-generation chip, RNGD.”
