[Financial News] A woman who claims to have been sexually harassed by Kyung-tae Jang, a member of the Democratic Party of Korea (DPK), has filed a complaint, prompting police to open an investigation.
The Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency (SMPA) announced on the 27th that it had received a sexual harassment complaint against Jang and has launched an investigation.
According to reports, the woman alleges that Jang sexually harassed her during a gathering at a location in Seoul.
She filed her complaint at Yeongdeungpo Police Station on the 25th, after which the case was transferred to the SMPA.
Jang has refuted the allegations, stating, "I will respond firmly to these false and malicious accusations."
On his Facebook page, he further wrote, "I will take strong action, including legal measures, against these completely unfounded and slanderous claims."
