President Lee's Approval Rating Falls Below 60%... Slight Drop to 58% from Last Week

According to the National Barometer Survey (NBS) released on the 27th, 58% of respondents evaluated President Lee Jae-myung's administration positively. The survey was conducted by Embrain Public, KStat Research, Korea Research International, and Hankook Research from the 24th to the 26th, targeting 1,003 men and women aged 18 and older nationwide.
The positive evaluation of President Lee Jae-myung's administration stood at 58%, a decrease of 3 percentage points from 61% in the previous survey two weeks ago. Negative responses increased by 3 percentage points to 32%. The president’s recent visits to the Middle East and Africa did not appear to have a significant positive effect.
By party support, the Democratic Party of Korea (DPK) recorded 39%, while the People Power Party stood at 22%. Support for the DPK dropped by 3 percentage points compared to the previous survey, while the People Power Party saw a 1 percentage point increase.
The NBS was conducted via telephone interviews using 100% mobile virtual numbers, with a margin of error of ±3.1 percentage points at a 95% confidence level. The response rate was 16.5%. For more details, refer to the website of the Central Election Poll Deliberation Commission.
