[Financial News] In connection with the discovery of a deceased Korean man in his 20s found inside a large bag in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, it has been confirmed that one of the two Korean suspects is a member of a domestic criminal organization.
According to the Korean National Police Agency (KNPA) on the 26th, Mr. B (25), who is suspected of abandoning the body of Mr. A, a Korean man, on the 23rd (local time), is a member of a gang based in North Gyeongsang Province and is under the supervision of the Gyeongbuk Provincial Police Agency.
Mr. C (24), who assisted Mr. B in disposing of the body, was found not to be affiliated with any particular gang. However, he is reportedly part of a group that follows a specific gang, even though he is not under police surveillance.
Previously, on the afternoon of the 23rd, Mr. A was discovered inside a large bag near an apartment in a residential area of Ho Chi Minh City.
A strange odor coming from the bag aroused suspicion among a security guard and passersby, who then reported it to the local police.
The incident occurred in an upscale residential area with high-rise apartments, which is generally considered a safe neighborhood.
Mr. B and Mr. C, who were near the bag, fled the scene in a taxi when a crowd gathered, but were eventually apprehended by local police.
Investigations revealed that the deceased, Mr. A, had been involved in scam operations in places such as the Wench criminal complex in the Kingdom of Cambodia.
Vietnamese police have detained Mr. B and Mr. C and are investigating the circumstances leading to Mr. A's death and the events surrounding the disposal of the body.
A police official stated, "The investigation is currently being conducted by local authorities. If an agreement is reached regarding the extradition of the two suspects, the Korean police will assign a dedicated investigation team."
