[Financial News] Comedian Shin Bong-sun has denied allegations that she criticized the production team of 'Hangout with Yoo.'
On the 24th, Shin Bong-sun posted on her social media, "Don’t force yourself to fit in with those who don’t respect you."
Although this was a typical motivational post, it coincided with Lee Yi-kyung’s recent revelation that he was asked to leave Munhwa Broadcasting Corporation (MBC)’s 'Hangout with Yoo,' leading to unexpected misunderstandings.
Some netizens mentioned Shin Bong-sun’s sudden departure from 'Hangout with Yoo,' speculating that her post was a veiled criticism of the producers.
Previously, after leaving 'Hangout with Yoo,' Shin Bong-sun appeared on Park Mi-sun’s YouTube channel and remarked, "There were some unpleasant moments. Now, I like that I’m old enough to say when I’m upset." This comment resurfaced amid the controversy.
As the controversy grew, Shin Bong-sun expressed her bewilderment by posting a screenshot of a related article along with the caption, "Huh???"
Earlier, Lee Yi-kyung left 'Hangout with Yoo' after being embroiled in controversy over personal matters. On the 21st, he revealed on his personal social media account, "Although the rumors were proven false within a day, I was asked to leave the variety show and ultimately chose to step down."
In response, the production team of 'Hangout with Yoo' stated, "As rumors about Lee Yi-kyung’s personal life spread through the media, we determined that it would be difficult for him to continue on a variety show that is meant to bring laughter every week."
