[The Financial News] The German woman who previously revealed her conversations with actor Lee Yi-kyung has reiterated that her claims are true. Although she had earlier retracted her statements, saying the disclosures were AI-generated, she changed her stance again, explaining her feelings and reasons for the revelations through a YouTuber.
On the 26th, the YouTube channel 'Lee Jin-ho, the Entertainment President' posted a video titled, 'Exclusive Shock! The Real Reason I Exposed... Lee Yi-kyung's German Accuser Shares Her Feelings for the First Time.' The video runs for approximately 11 minutes.
In the video, Ms. A introduced herself by saying, "I am German. I have never been to Korea. I have been self-studying Korean for eight years and have learned a lot by communicating with people."
Ms. A continued, "I have been in contact with Lee Yi-kyung since February last year. After watching a drama, I became interested and sent him a DM, but I was surprised when he replied. At first, he did not believe I was German, so he asked me questions about Germany and requested a selfie, which I sent."
"His messages became increasingly explicit, and I became scared"
Ms. A denied the agency's claim that she was the first to send explicit photos. She explained her reason for disclosing the messages: "I did it hoping there would be no other victims. Initially, my conversations with Lee Yi-kyung were positive, but as we talked daily, the conversations became more sexual. At first, I was happy that an actor was interested in me, but as the explicit messages increased, he started saying things like 'I'll do XX,' which frightened me. That’s why I decided to make the messages public."
"Why did I say it was AI-generated? I was worried about causing harm to others"
She also explained why she had previously claimed the disclosures were AI-generated. Ms. A stated, "A Korean friend told me that everything would quiet down in two weeks, and that would be best for me." She added, "I changed my statement again because I was worried that if another victim appeared, they would be blamed for using AI because of me. That’s why I posted my final message."
Regarding the agency's lawsuit, she said, "I will monitor the situation and respond accordingly"
Ms. A commented on the news that Lee Yi-kyung's agency had filed a lawsuit against her. She said, "I have not received any documents yet, so I will wait and see how things develop before responding. I heard that German law makes these matters difficult, so for now, I plan to observe the situation."
Ms. A also explained why she emailed Lee Yi-kyung's agency in May this year. She said, "Some of the messages I received were so absurd that I wanted to confirm if it was really Lee Yi-kyung, so I sent an email. He seemed like a good person, but I was worried he might have been hacked, so I contacted the company. After I sent the email, the Lee Yi-kyung I had been messaging on KakaoTalk contacted me, so I was convinced it was really him."
Ms. A said that Lee Yi-kyung told her, "I want to do XX with three friends," and that there were other comments, but she did not mention them due to lack of evidence. She admitted, "Honestly, I enjoyed the attention as he is an actor." She continued, "The email I sent to the agency was not a threat. I never asked for money, so I don't think it could be considered blackmail. I just wanted to confirm if it was really Lee Yi-kyung. When I confirmed it was him, I was shocked. I realized that even someone like him could act that way."
Regarding her current feelings, she confessed, "I hope everything settles down quietly. I do have some regrets." Ms. A added, "We communicated for about a year and a half. I first contacted him via DM, and after that, we only exchanged KakaoTalk messages. Our last contact was in April or May. He told me he was attending his grandfather’s funeral. The last message I received was, 'I sent my grandfather off well.'"
"There is no evidence... I sold my phone due to financial issues"
Ms. A also addressed whether she still had evidence: "I do not have it anymore. I changed my phone several times and had financial problems. I never asked Lee Yi-kyung for money, and I tried to resolve my financial issues on my own, so I sold my phone."
Finally, Ms. A left a message for Lee Yi-kyung. She said, "I'm sorry for making this such a big issue, and I do regret it. You seem to be going through a lot, but I hope you never say 'I'll do XX' to a woman again and that you live well."
Previously, on the 19th of last month, Ms. A revealed what she claimed were KakaoTalk and Direct Message (DM) conversations with Lee Yi-kyung, exposing details of his private life. In response, Lee Yi-kyung’s side denied the allegations and said there had been a monetary demand months earlier. Ms. A insisted she never asked for money and released a video showing her sending messages to Lee Yi-kyung’s social networking service (SNS) account. However, on the 22nd of last month, she suddenly apologized, saying the evidence was AI-generated.
Later, on the 19th of this month, Ms. A reversed her position again. She said, "I lied out of fear and claimed everything was false. I was worried about being sued or having to pay compensation." She insisted, "AI can never create photos of celebrities, and I have never used AI in that way. All the evidence I posted is real."
