Stage X is a popup-focused space brand introduced by SweetSpot in 2025. The company currently operates a total of eight locations in Korea, including seven in Seongsu-dong and one in Ikseon-dong. Leveraging its in-house team of real estate experts for market analysis and proactive site selection, SweetSpot has achieved outstanding operational results, with utilization rates at the Seongsu and Ikseon locations more than doubling year-over-year.
Building on this operational expertise, SweetSpot plans to establish its first global base in Tokyo, positioning itself as a hub for domestic and international brands seeking entry into the Japanese market.
‘Stage X Tokyo Mil Gallery’ consists of two spaces: ‘Mil Gallery’ and ‘Milsecond’. Located in Tokyo's Omotesando, an area densely populated with flagship stores of global fashion and lifestyle brands, Stage X benefits from a vibrant commercial district with a high concentration of trend-sensitive people in their 20s and 30s.
Through Stage X, SweetSpot aims to make it easier for K-Brands to enter the Japanese market and to strengthen its role as a testbed for quickly gauging initial market responses. Companies can use popup stores as a test market before actual sales or as a marketing base to build brand awareness in Japan.
Kim Jung-su, CEO of SweetSpot, stated, "The expansion of Stage X into Tokyo marks our first attempt to apply the popup operation experience gained in Korea to an overseas market. We will continue to broaden opportunities for Korean brands to connect directly with international consumers."
Meanwhile, SweetSpot plans to sequentially expand Stage X locations in major Asian cities and focus on providing infrastructure to support the global expansion of domestic and international brands.
