[Financial News] The KOSPI closed slightly higher, buoyed by net buying from both foreign and institutional investors.
On the 25th, the KOSPI finished at 3,857.78, up 11.72 points (0.30%) from the previous trading day.
The index opened at 3,942.36, rising 96.30 points (2.50%) from the previous day. During the session, it climbed as high as 3,946.61, up 100.55 points (2.61%).
In the KOSPI Market, institutional investors purchased shares worth 9.7 billion won, extending their net buying streak to five consecutive sessions. Foreign investors also bought shares totaling 46.5 billion won. In contrast, individual investors sold shares worth 59.1 billion won.
Among large-cap stocks, Samsung Electronics closed at 99,300 won, up 2.69% from the previous session. SK hynix saw a slight adjustment, declining 0.19%.
By sector, electricity and gas (up 5.82%), retail (up 2.15%), and electrical and electronics (up 1.58%) led the gains.
The KOSDAQ Index ended at 856.03, down 0.41 points (0.05%) from the previous day.
