KOSPI Maintains Upward Momentum on Institutional Net Buying [fn Afternoon Market Briefing]

[Financial News] KOSPI is maintaining its intraday upward trend.
As of 2:02 p.m. on the 25th, KOSPI was trading at 3,853.09, up 7.03 points (0.18%) from the previous session.
KOSPI opened at 3,942.36, up 96.30 points (2.50%) from the previous day. During the session, the index climbed as high as 3,946.61, a gain of 100.55 points (2.61%).
In the KOSPI Market, institutions purchased 47.7 billion won worth of shares, marking their fifth consecutive session of net buying. Individuals also recorded a net purchase of 20.9 billion won during the same period. In contrast, foreign investors sold 69.8 billion won worth of shares.
Among large-cap stocks by market capitalization, Samsung Electronics was trading at 98,800 won, up 2.07% from the previous session. SK hynix was down 0.10%.
By sector, electricity and gas (5.17%), retail (1.99%), and electrical and electronics (1.35%) led the gains. On the other hand, pharmaceuticals (-5.27%) and entertainment & culture (-2.78%) showed weakness.
The KOSDAQ Index was trading at 854.88, down 1.56 points (1.18%) from the previous day.
