Rail Track Trolley Derails at Oido Station on Seoul Subway Line 4... Concerns Over Train Service Disruption

The incident reportedly occurred when four of the fifteen cars at the rear of the rail track trolley derailed.

As a result, there are concerns that train operations on Seoul Subway Line 4, as well as the adjacent Suin–Bundang Line and Seohae Line, may be disrupted.

The Suin–Bundang Line runs from Oido Station to Hanyang University at Ansan station, while the Seohae Line shares tracks with Seoul Subway Line 4 at Choji Station.

A representative from Korea Railroad Corporation (KORAIL) stated, "A track obstruction at the Siheung Train Depot has caused disruptions to electric train operations. Trains on Seoul Subway Line 4, the Suin–Bundang Line, and the Seohae Line are currently delayed. We ask that passengers in a hurry use alternative transportation."

KORAIL is investigating the cause of the accident and is also checking for any damage to trains and facilities affected by the disruption.
