"Did Munwon Approach Me for My Money? He’s Actually Well Off"... Shin Ji Addresses Munwon Controversy Directly

[The Financial News] Shin Ji of the group Koyote personally addressed misunderstandings and suspicions regarding her fiancé.

On the 24th, Shin Ji appeared on Jang Young-ran’s YouTube channel and shared, “The video of the formal family meeting with the Koyote members reached about 6 million views. Every fortune teller in Korea posted about our compatibility.”
She continued, “Almost every comment was like ‘Physiognomy is a science,’ ‘You make your own destiny,’ or ‘He approached Shin Ji for her money,’ but in fact, he is actually well off.”
She went on to say, “I acknowledge Munwon’s slip of the tongue. He should have expressed, ‘I didn’t realize Shin Ji was this famous.’ He should have said, ‘I didn’t expect the impact to be this big.’ He just isn’t very articulate, that’s all.”
Regarding the misunderstanding that he hadn’t disclosed his divorce and having a child in advance, she explained, “Before we started dating, he told me, saying, ‘There’s something I need to tell you.’ After a week of consideration, I was the one who said, ‘Let’s keep seeing each other.’ What I overlooked was not realizing it would become such an issue.”
When asked if the malicious comments had strained their relationship, Shin Ji replied, “Not at all. He actually has stronger mental strength than I do, but he kept checking malicious comments on his phone. Even when I told him not to, he couldn’t stop. I understood, because I did the same. I read everything too,” she recounted.
She added, “I felt sorry that he had to go through this because of me, and we both felt sorry for each other. But our relationship became even stronger after that. It also reminded me that there are so many people in Korea who support me.”
In June, Shin Ji announced her marriage to Munwon, a singer seven years her junior. The couple released a video on their YouTube channel showing a formal family meeting with Koyote members Kim Jong-min and Bbaek Ga. However, soon after the video was released, suspicions about Munwon surfaced, sparking controversy.
Currently, the couple is living together in their newlywed home and preparing for their wedding.
