[Financial News] Actress Lee Si-young, who recently gave birth to her second daughter, posted a Bonart photo of her 17-day-old baby. Some criticized her for "treating the child like an ornament."
On the 21st, Lee Si-young shared a photo of her second daughter on her social networking service (SNS). The baby, wearing a Santa hat and swaddled, was lying among Christmas decorations with her eyes closed. Lee wrote, "How about me as this year's Christmas ornament?"
Bonart is a style of newborn photography where babies are dressed up with cute props. Many parents use it to create growth albums, and sometimes postpartum care centers offer the service in partnership.
Nevertheless, the use of the word 'ornament' sparked criticism among some online users, who questioned whether she was treating her child as a decoration.
On the other hand, many defended Lee Si-young, saying, "Many parents take such photos to capture their baby's cuteness," and called the criticism excessive. Despite the support, Lee deleted the post.
Lee Si-young married businessman Mr. A, who runs a restaurant, in 2017 and gave birth to a son in 2018. However, she announced her divorce this March. In July, she revealed her second pregnancy via SNS, which drew even more attention as it came after her divorce announcement.
At the time, Lee Si-young disclosed that she had received an embryo transfer alone using a frozen embryo after her divorce.
