Fire Breaks Out at Apartment in Yangcheon District, Seoul; Fire Authorities Issue 'Response Level 1'

At around 5:33 a.m. on the 21st, a fire broke out in a nine-story apartment building in Sinwol-dong, Yangcheon District, Seoul. Injuries have not yet been confirmed. More than 10 residents were rescued and are receiving treatment at a nearby hospital.
At approximately 5:44 a.m., fire authorities issued Response Level 1 and are currently working to extinguish the fire and rescue residents.
Police and fire authorities are investigating the cause of the fire while continuing firefighting and rescue operations.
