[Financial News] An Australian politician stepped down as regional party leader immediately after it was revealed that his daughter had appeared in adult films.
According to foreign media outlets such as the New York Post on the 18th (local time), Charlie Saunders, 19, daughter of party leader Dugald Saunders, 55, appeared in the documentary 'Spicy Summer: Bondi Beach,' which was released on the 16th. The documentary follows the process of producing adult content.
Charlie, who goes by the stage name 'Willow,' said in the film, "I started creating adult content as soon as I turned 18," adding, "Until now, I worked without revealing my face." She also remarked, "Older women are jealous of us," and claimed, "When they were young, there were no such platforms, so they had no choice but to become housewives."
On the day after the documentary was released, Saunders announced his intention to resign, stating, "I am stepping back from politics to focus on my family." A representative of the National Party of Australia cautioned against overinterpretation, saying, "The timing is purely coincidental and unrelated to Charlie’s appearance in the documentary."
On local social networking services (SNS), reactions were divided, with some criticizing, "How did you raise your child that she would do such things at 18?" while others expressed understanding, saying, "It is reasonable that he decided to resign for his family."
