Bureau Chiefs from Eight Leading Japanese Regional Newspapers to Visit The Financial News on the 21st

The Tokyo Correspondents' Bureau Chiefs Association of Regional Newspapers, which includes Nishinippon Shimbun, the largest daily in Kyushu, as well as The Kyoto Shimbun and Kobe Shimbun from western Japan, will visit The Financial News as a representative of Korean media during their two-day training program in Seoul.
On this day, the Tokyo Correspondents' Bureau Chiefs Association of Regional Newspapers will visit The Financial News in Seocho-gu, Seoul, to hold broad discussions with the management and editor-in-chief on topics such as Korea-Japan relations, responses to declining birthrates in both countries, Korea's economic growth strategies, Korean media's online strategies, and the current state of Japanese media.
On the first day of their visit, the delegation visited The Asan Institute for Policy Studies to exchange views on Korea-Japan relations and the situation in Northeast Asia. Taku Yamaguchi, bureau chief of Nishinippon Shimbun, stated, "In celebration of the 60th anniversary of the normalization of diplomatic relations between Korea and Japan, we are visiting to directly hear about various factors in Korean society, including Korea-Japan relations and the media environment." The delegation consists of eight members: Taku Yamaguchi of Nishinippon Shimbun, Akira Aida of Niigata Nippo, Gomei Okamoto of The Kyoto Shimbun, Hajime Matsui of Kobe Shimbun, Takashi Seiko of Chugoku Shimbun, Mahiro Miura of Kochi Shimbun, Tomohiro Shiozaki of Kumamoto Nichinichi Shimbun, and Manabu Saito of Ryukyu Shimpo.
