"I Wanted a Challenge" IT YouTuber 'ITSub' Wins Racing Championship

[Financial News] Hwang Yongseop (SK ZIC United), who is active as the well-known IT YouTuber 'ITSub', secured the overall victory in the 2025 season car racing championship. On the 9th, Hwang clinched the champion title by winning the final race of the season held at Everland Speedway in Yongin.
In the final of the '2025 Hyundai N Festival' Challenge Class held that day, he started from pole position after qualifying first. Maintaining the lead throughout the race, he was the first to cross the finish line, achieving a 'pole to win' by taking first place in both qualifying and the final.
During the race, competitors such as Shin Sayong and Young-Ha Yang pursued him, but Hwang Yongseop delivered a steady performance. With this victory, he also became the overall season points leader and lifted the trophy. His achievement was even more notable as it was accomplished while continuing his activities as a YouTuber.
Immediately after his victory was confirmed, an unusual scene unfolded. Hwang, not realizing the race had ended, continued to drive one more lap around the track—a 'double checker' mistake. He explained, "I've always been following from behind, so I just kept chasing the car in front and didn't realize I was supposed to finish first." Due to this error, he was fined 50,000 won in accordance with the competition rules.
In a post-race interview, Hwang Yongseop remarked, "I didn't race just to film YouTube content—I truly wanted to take on a challenge." He went on to thank his family and team, adding, "If I join the ZIC Team next year, I will aim for the podium," expressing his determination for the next season.
