[Financial News] It has come to light that President Donald John Trump hurled the insult "pig" at a reporter.
"Why won't you release the Epstein Documents?" Bloomberg reporter's question triggers outburst
Multiple foreign media outlets, including The Guardian, reported that on the 14th, President Trump made this remark to Catherine Lucey of Bloomberg News during a meeting with reporters aboard Air Force One.
At the time, Lucey asked, "If there is nothing incriminating in the Epstein Documents, why not release them?" In response, President Trump pointed his finger at her and said, "Be quiet, be quiet, pig."
The Epstein Documents refer to materials related to the case of the late sex offender Jeffrey Edward Epstein. Allegations linking the Epstein case to President Donald John Trump have persisted.
On the 18th, the United States House of Representatives (House) passed a bill, nearly unanimously, to compel the release of these documents. The bill will become law after a vote in the United States Senate and President Trump's signature.
When asked about the Khashoggi assassination, Trump lashes out: "ABC News is fake news"
President Trump has previously made aggressive remarks toward reporters. On the 18th, during a meeting with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud (MbS), Mary Bruce of ABC News asked about the murder of Jamal Khashoggi. Trump responded, "ABC News is fake news. One of the worst in the industry."

When Bruce pressed further about the Epstein issue, Trump retorted, "The problem isn't your question. It's your attitude," adding, "I think you're a terrible reporter." He also insisted he had no connection to Epstein, calling the scandal a "hoax" and accusing her "lousy company" of being one of the perpetrators.
Back in the first term of his administration in 2018, Trump called April Ryan of Cable News Network (CNN) a "loser" and hurled insults at Cecilia Vega of ABC News, calling her "a reporter who doesn't think at all."
April Ryan, who was labeled a loser by President Trump, commented, "The President of the United States should be a moral leader and a national figure, but he acts like a street thug." She added, "When you call others names, remember you yourself are in the pigpen, just before being led to the slaughterhouse."
Elisa Lees Muñoz, Executive Director of the International Women's Media Foundation (IWMF), criticized, "President Trump's attacks on female reporters are nothing new." She added, "His insults targeting appearance are sexist attacks meant to silence women journalists."
She continued, "Such slurs may seem trivial on the surface, but when used by a head of state, they incite attacks against the targeted journalist." She emphasized, "This not only affects their ability to do their job, but also sends a threatening message to other female reporters who ask tough questions of the president."
