"I killed my parents"—Korean Man in His 30s Fatally Stabs Parents in Japan, Arrested by Local Police

[The Financial News] A Korean man in his 30s was arrested by local police in Japan after fatally stabbing his parents with a knife.
According to local media such as Nippon TV News 24 on the 19th, the Aomori Prefectural Police arrested Mr. Kim (34), a Korean national who is unemployed and also known by his Japanese name Daishu Kanemoto, the previous day on suspicion of murder.
Mr. Kim is accused of stabbing his 61-year-old mother, Mira, in the chest and back with a knife at their home in Aomori City on the 18th, resulting in her death.
It was reported that Mr. Kim, the eldest son, called the police himself on the morning of the incident and confessed, saying, "I killed my parents."
Responding to the call, police found Mira collapsed on the bathroom floor on the first floor of the house. Multiple stab wounds were observed on her body.
The father, Naoto, was also found dead in the hallway with multiple stab wounds to his chest and back.
Both victims showed signs of defensive wounds, indicating they tried to resist. Police suspect there was a physical struggle during the crime, as Mr. Kim also had cuts on his arm.
Police seized a blood-stained knife at the scene, believed to have been used in the attack.
Authorities are investigating Mr. Kim to determine the specific motive and details of the incident. The investigation has expanded to include the murder of both his mother and father.
