[Financial News] Jennie of Blackpink and Aespa, a leading fourth-generation girl group, will attend the ‘Melon Music Awards 2025 (MMA2025)’ at Gocheok Sky Dome in Guro-gu, Seoul, on December 20. On the 19th, Melon announced the final lineup, confirming the participation of both artists.
Jennie released her first solo full-length album ‘Ruby’ in March. The album was selected by international media as one of the major albums of 2025. Its title track, ‘Like Jennie,’ received an enthusiastic response from global listeners for its confident lyrics and powerful performance. Since its release, the song has remained on the Melon Top 100 chart for nine consecutive months and has reached No. 1 on the Melon daily chart 14 times. Jennie has been active both as a solo artist and as a member of Blackpink throughout the year.
Last year, Aespa swept seven awards at MMA2024 with ‘Supernova,’ ‘Armageddon,’ and ‘Whiplash,’ cementing their status as a leading fourth-generation girl group. This year, they continued their remarkable achievements, reaching No. 2 on the Melon TOP100 and No. 1 on the HOT100 with ‘Dirty Work’ and ‘Rich Man.’ Aespa also embarked on their third world tour, performing in key regions such as Japan and Thailand, and are preparing for a dome tour in Japan and an Asia-wide tour next year. They will make their third consecutive appearance at MMA2025, promising a new stage.
The MMA2025 lineup includes Jennie, Aespa, G-Dragon, Jay Park, 10cm, Zico, Exo, Woodz, Ive, Hanroro, BoyNextDoor, Riize, Plave, NCT WISH, Illit, Hearts2Hearts, KiiiKiii, AllDay Project, Idid, and ALPHA DRIVE ONE (ALD1), among many other artists.
