Prosecutors Indict Man in His 60s for Fatal Stabbing at Restaurant in Gangbuk District

[Financial News] A man in his 60s who is accused of killing one person and injuring another with a weapon at a restaurant in Suyu-dong, Gangbuk District, Seoul, has been brought to trial.
According to legal sources on the 18th, the Criminal Division 2 of the Seoul Northern District Prosecutors' Office, led by Chief Prosecutor Yoo Jeong-hyeon, indicted Mr. A, a man in his 60s, on charges of murder and attempted murder.
Police arrested Mr. A at the scene on the afternoon of the 26th of last month for allegedly attacking a couple in their 60s, who own the restaurant in Suyu-dong, with a weapon. He was taken into custody two days later, on the 28th, and was referred to the Seoul Northern District Prosecutors' Office on the 31st.
It was determined that Mr. A got into a dispute with the restaurant owners while paying for his meal.
The couple, who were injured by the weapon, were transported to the hospital. However, the wife passed away on the 27th of last month, while the husband underwent surgery and remains in critical condition.
